UNITEDLOGO

When United Americans decided to run a fundraising campaign on popular crowd-funding site, Indiegogo, they knew they needed a video that would capture people’s imagination and get them excited to support the United Americans cause.

Enter: The Draw Shop.

United Americans founders Michael Smith and Jeff Wheatley approached The Draw Shop to see if we could help them out with a whiteboard and cartoon animation video that stood out from the crowd.

We were thrilled to work on such a great project – and when they officially launched their campaign in May, our video helped them smash through their goal of raising $65,000 in just 30 days!

Elated, Michael Smith reported, “The video did it!”

You can check out the video here:

United Americans

United Americans is a Utah-based non-profit organization that wants to bring one million Americans together in a dialogue that transcends the traditional red state/blue state divide and gets people talking about the biggest issues facing our country right now.

Following the example of popular voting-based television shows such as American Idol, United Americans plans to use text messaging as its core communication tool.  They’ll send out one question each week to all of its members and ask for a response then share the results and encourage members to share this information with their friends and family.

By engaging in this conversation we can gain a deeper understanding of who our fellow Americans are and what we, as a nation, really think about the issues that matter, free from the influence of the media or biased pollsters gathering information for political purposes.

Here’s a sample of the Awesome!  To participate (and you always can!), click this Q and it will take you to directions on how you can be a United American.

Do you support this idea of being United Americans?

We are psyched to have been able to participate in such a great project—and we look forward to joining the conversation!
