YT

1. Make it searchable

To get a lot of views, make sure your video is put in front of as big an audience as possible. And the best way to do that is to include keywords that people are using in search engines such as Google or YouTube.

Use the Google Keyword Tool to look for popular keyword phrases that accurately reflect the content of your marketing video efforts. Focus on ones that are getting a decent number of searches but don’t have a lot of competition—these are the keywords that are most likely to get your video production on the first page of the search results. Make sure these keywords are relevant to the video content & also reflect positively on your brand awareness efforts.

2. Be descriptive

Resist the urge to be overly coy, clever, or mysterious with the video title. Some video marketers will use titles such as “You’ll never believe this” or “Yep. It happened again.” But if your target audience doesn’t connect with such marketing techniques, vague titles won’t entice them to click. Instead, use a title that gives people a clear idea of what they’re going to see if they click on your video, such as:

  •  “How to Eliminate Sleep Problems – A Drug-Free Approach.”
  • “How NOT to Get Your Boyfriend to Propose to You.”
  • “The Difference Between Men and Women – Video Tutorial”

3. Keep it under 56 characters

Google cuts off its listing titles at around the 66-character mark. Since all videos posted on YouTube have “YouTube – “ at the start of their titles, that means you have 10 fewer characters to work with, meaning that you should cap your title at 56 characters maximum.

4. Offer a benefit

People are more likely to click on your video if they feel that they’re going to get something out of it. This could be valuable or interesting information, inspiration, or entertainment. Make sure your title clearly depicts the benefit people will get from your video.

5. Provoke curiosity
